A Short History of Hannes Piezo R&D
Fundamental research in the field of piezo electronics brought Schaller‘s Hannes bridge into the spotlight. Painstaking testing proved the unique bridge construction and materials to be the superior basis to start from.
Schaller‘s profound and longtime expertise in the field of piezo-technology became the foundation of a new generation of piezo-bridges. The use of cutting-edge piezo-elements and sealing-compounds – researched, developed and produced in Germany – result in a durable, yet ultra-sensitive bridge design.
Next was milling, soldering and installing in unprecedented accuracy „where micrometers make the tone“. Hermetically sealed piezo-elements proved to deliver long trouble-free use and abuse and helped to avoid erratic dynamics so widely associated with piezo-pickup technology. As with the Hannes bridge itself Schaller‘s motto is sleek design and unobtrusive technology. Therefor the piezo-elements were invisibly installed into the saddles rather than on their top. Schaller up close!
Sample cases for Schaller products in all good specialist stores
Schaller and its new business partner for Germany, GEWA, have had another great idea that will offer customers the best service possible – the Schaller sample case!
Starting in September 2010, 100 selected specialist retailers in Germany will be equipped with these new Schaller sample cases.
Each case contains all of Schaller’s leading products – from machine heads and pickups to bridges and tremolos – for customers to see and try out close up.
To make the cases particularly appetizing, several products have been included in all eight available finishes: Nickel, Chrome, Satin Chrome, Black Chrome, Gold, Ruthenium, Satin Pearl and Vintage Copper. So now every musician can get some hands-on inspiration from the range of different colors at their disposal.

Schaller is now implementing its new business concept in Japan. In the past, some of our customers haven't been able to get Schaller products at all, or had to wait a long time for delivery because our wholesalers didn't carry all products and didn't keep enough in stock. All that is about to change! The new concept will ensure that our wholesalers:
- Offer our customers all Schaller products and
- Keep sufficient quantities of all Schaller products in stock at all times.
These two things will ensure that deliveries to retailers, guitar-builders and customers can be made within just a few days.
We have selected Kyoritsu (www.kcmusic.jp) to be our business partner, following the success of previous cooperation with them. All Schaller products have been stockpiled - now we're ready to go!

Schaller is now implementing its new business concept in Italy, Switzerland, Austria and Poland. Ruthenium, the black pearl among precious metals.

Stentor Music Co Ltd and Schaller Electronic GmbH are starting a new business concept for their customers in the United Kingdom. In the past, the availability of Schaller products has been inconsistent, however all that is about to change!
The new concept will ensure that Schaller’s exclusive distributors in each country offer the full range of products to their customers, and that sufficient quantities of these products are available from stock to allow delivery to retailers, guitar-builders and consumers within a few days.
After successfully starting the scheme in Germany and Canada, Schaller will now launch the project in the United Kingdom with their exclusive business partner, Stentor Music Co Ltd (www.stentor-music.com). From December 1st 2008, the entire Schaller product range will be continually available to their customers.

Schaller’s new 2009 calendar is now available, well before the last pages of the 2008 calendar have been torn off.
