New Schaller 2010 calendar: Cult to cult!

The absolute highlight of this year's photo shoot for Schaller's new 2010 calendar was the appearance of the Eighty-Eight motorcycle club from Dennenlohe. Heavy guys and heavy machines came to Wittl's music store in Parsberg and made the ground shake. Our "Terminator" in the saddle is looking for Schaller... We're not giving anything else away yet, but you can take an exclusive look at a few pictures from the photoshoot (click on "More").

With this Schaller question, we asked you where our new Schaller "Hannes" bridge gets ist name from. Many of our music friends found the answer quickly after we suggested looking under "News". Roland Hannes, an inventor who was born in France and today lives in the USA, had the original idea. As the leading developer and producer of all hardware components for stringed instruments, we were in a prime position to turn a truly new, innovative guitar bridge concept into reality. To honour Roland Hannes, Schaller's new bridge was named after him.

Schaller-Calender 2009

July 2008

The feedback which we received on our first Schaller calendar has really surprised us. The overall response was very positive - some Schaller fans were even delighted by it. Consequently, we have decided to do a Schaller calendar for 2009, this time more professionally, with sensational pictures of our new Schaller "Hannes" bridge on a beautiful one-off guitar and hilarious picture-stories which will be even more strange and grotesque than this year's. It's also true for us that something that's good can still be improved upon. With this in mind, why not take a look at a few exclusive pictures from the many photo-shootings we have done? Just klick on "more".

Amberger Guitar

May 2008

Who built the beautiful guitar which is always displayed in the picture sequence?

This question has been asked many times. We'd like to shed some light on it now.

Mr. Thomas Amberger, master guitar-builder from the Oberpfalz in Bavaria, built the first guitar with a Schaller "Hannes" bridge exclusively for us. Built out of the finest woods with the perfection that can be expectet from Mr. Amberger, it has already become a historical collectors item! The body is made of sen (japanese ash), the top is made of european maple, the fingerboard is made of east-indian rosewood. The hardware on the guitar is of course, completely and exclusively made by Schaller.

Skilled work of Dominik Barisic with Schaller-Parts

April 2008

It all began on December 27 2007, when we received an e-mail from Dominik Barisic, a 19-year old student in the 13th grade of the E.T.A Hoffman secondary school in Bamberg.

As part of his honours music class at school, he was required to build an electric guitar. He wrote to Schaller, asking us whether we could supply him with cheap or second-rate parts, so he could keep his costs down.

Since we don't make cheap or second-rate parts, we simply decided to sponsor him with the best - for free. A beautiful red electric guitar has been born, complete with gleaming gold Schaller components.

Dominik Barisic got an A for his outstanding project. Congratulations!
